THE BRIEF
Frimley Park Hospital host a specialist, tertiary, adult cystic fibrosis unit, recognised by the CF Trust. They currently look after approximately 130 patients, mainly from the Greater London, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire areas. The Cystic Fibrosis patients needed a dry place to stand where they could undergo their check-ups as the hospital was considered to be dangerous for them during the Covid pandemic.
THE SOLUTION
A free-standing Protect weather shelter was installed in a matter of hours by the team away from the main hospital. In addition to the main weather shelter, a raised portable non-slip flooring system was installed to ensure that the area was completely safe.
