We were commissioned to build a canopy on the first-floor roof after the building was built, as a traditional canopy couldn’t be used. This canopy measured 45m long! It solves a unique problem in that items can fall from the balconies of apartments sitting adjacent to the school’s outdoor play area. The canopy of course shields the pupils from the weather, including UV and rain.
We were at Mulberry Woodwharf School, Canary Wharf for 4 days, during which we completed a canopy with concrete ballast blocks and padding.
Our rooftop play area presented some very specific challenges, and Protect Canopies delivered a smart, effective solution. The 45-metre canopy not only provides essential weather protection but also shields the space from potential falling items. The team worked efficiently and professionally — we’re extremely happy with the result.
